If you sometimes ask yourself: “How do I become famous? I’m just a teen.” You start with an open mind, and a positive attitude that you can do it. Rethink your reality and your surroundings and everyone in it. You’re not stuck in the little city that’s in the middle of nowhere. You are not confined by your school’s walls, nor by the close friends that are part of your life. By opening your mind and keeping an endless imagination, you will open the doors to a new world.
Now, try to decide what you want to create or do if there were no limitations in life. Would you draw, paint, write, act, sew? For every unique skill you have, the one skill you don’t have, someone else, somewhere in the world is good at. They might be bad at what your good at.
Make a plan and set your goals. What do you want to succeed at? Your tool of choice to make your dreams come true is the internet. Regardless of your plan, the tool that connects you with the world is the internet.
Who should you connect with? I recommend you start out by not connecting with anyone. No Emails, No IM’s, and No Text Messaging. You should concentrate on your creativity, and imagination to keep yourself occupied, until you’re ready for the next step.
The dangers of connecting with strangers on the internet, are very real. Sometimes people are not who they appear to be.
Try to get references, and verify the references. Google them, and do your best research on the people you connect with. If you must meet them, only ever meet them in a public place, and only with your parents or guardian present. This tip can save your life, and stop someone from kidnapping or abusing you. Establish trust only after a period of time. Don’t jump into things. Take your time, and stay safe. – Rob Tencer
