You really need to ask MADONNA herself for this particular question
…a celebrity’s PR or Management company?
If you do a google search on the celebrity you will probably find their ‘official’ website and the details are likely to be shown on there.
Does anyone know about copyright in relation to tribute shows. I am a celebrity look alike and i also own some replica props from a TV show. Although i mhave no problem as a look alike i am concerned about the replica props. Occassionally i exhibit them in public venues as an exhibition of fan built replicas, in other words as examples of art work based on the said tv show. I do not charge any money except for my own fee and any expenses. I do not claim the props are actual ones used in the TV show. Am i in breach of copyright from the license holder and can they prevent me from exhibiting my props?
Serious answers please – Thank you for your assistance
Generally speaking, it certainly is possible that you are infringing on another's rights. However, it's nearly impossible to give you any meaningful advice in the abstract because copyright infringement is such a fact-specific determination.
Essentially, the items you have replicated would need to examined on an item-by-item basis in order to determine whether you are potentially infringing on any copyright, trademarks, etc. Even if you are infringing, your risk of being sued is something worth considering as well. You might consider speaking in greater detail with a copyright or entertainment lawyer who can give you more focused advice.
